The recruitment of four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte is heating up.

The long-time Georgia commit is one of the top players at the linebacker position in the 2025 recruiting cycle. While the Bulldogs have had Perlotte in the fold for nearly two years now, experts expect a flip down the road.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder is rated as the No. 14 linebacker and the No. 18 player in the state of Georgia. Per On3's industry rankings, Perlotte is the No. 136 overall player in the class of 2025.

According to On3's Scott Schrader , the Buford High School product is expected to flip his commitment to the USC Trojans. Perlotte is coming off a weekend visit to the Cardinal and Gold.

Georgia and USC have had more than one recruiting battle in this cycle.

Isaiah Gibson, one of the top overall players in the class, flipped from the Trojans to the Bulldogs in June. Five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry flipped from Georgia to USC before decommitting from the Trojans last month.

Perlotte also visited Tennessee on June 14 before taking a visit to Georgia on June 21. He has visited Miami (June 7), and Alabama (May 31), among others over the offseason.

The Vols are also considered to be in the running to flip Perlotte, according to 247 Sports' Kipp Adams, who projected him to land at Tennessee last week.

Georgia will have to work hard to keep the coveted linebacker in its No. 3 overall class, and it's unclear who has the lead as the 2024 season approaches.
