Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ’s 20-year-old son, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, has been hospitalized after an e-bike crash in Los Angeles, People and TMZ reported.

According to reports, Pax was riding his e-bike without a helmet during rush hour on Los Feliz Boulevard, a four-lane highway between the Los Angeles neighborhood and Griffith Park. As he approached a red light, Pax apparently hit the back of a stopped car.

The driver of the car exited his vehicle to check on Pax, who suffered a head injury and was experiencing hip pain at the scene. Medics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he is reportedly in stable condition. TMZ reported that Pax suffered a “minor brain bleed” in the accident.

It is unclear if Pax is still hospitalized, though TMZ reported on Monday that he would likely be sent home in the next 24 hours. Representatives for Jolie and Pitt did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Men’s Journal .

California has complicated helmet laws, and as it relates to e-bikes there are three separate vehicle classifications. Class 1 and 2 require a helmet to be worn, but only by riders under the age of 18. Class 3 dictates all riders, regardless of age, must wear a helmet. It’s unclear which class Pax’s bike falls under.

Jolie adopted Pax in 2007, when he was just three years old. Pitt formally adopted him the following year. The celebrity couple, who finalized their divorce in 2019 , share five other children together.
