A 28-year-old man was shot dead as he catered for a pool party where gunfire rang out - with police launching a manhunt for the shooting suspects.

Robert Abdelkader III's grieving family are now demanding justice after Robert was gunned down while providing his catering services for the party. His mother claims that the police have unobscured footage of the assault and, most crucially, of her son's killer. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reports that the shooting happened on Friday night in the 800 block of Greenleaf Boulevard at approximately 7:45 p.m.

At the graduation ceremony, shooting broke out , sending partygoers running for their lives. Abdelkader perished right there. According to LASD, five more people were hurt and sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"They took my wonderful son. They took him away," said Inez Tootie Adkins, Abdelkader's mother. At the site of Abdelkader's shooting death, candles and the truck he used for off-roading are now sitting. When the incident happened, the business owner was providing cuisine for the gathering at the house his family rents out.

"Four gentlemen walked in and just started shooting. The party was over. Everybody scattered, the kids ran, and my son, somebody shot him," Adkins said.

Adkins ran out of the house to see her son had been shot in the head. "He was a stalwart in our community. He was always willing to serve others in his neighborhood. He gave everything he could, and we are devastated. The victim's uncle, Darris Adkins, said, "We don't understand why anyone would do this."

Witnesses, according to Inez Tootie Adkins, told her that the suspects shouted gang insults before opening fire, seemingly directed at a person in the crowd. Numerous security cameras caught the entire crime. Adkins is appealing with the murderer of her son to act morally and surrender.

"There's cameras, captured everything. So we know who you are. Turn yourself in," she said. Adkins claims that she is confident she will eventually receive the justice she is due for her son.

"We heard people running and pow, pow, pow," said Ebony Smith, a neighbor. "It was multiple shots." Smith and her three-year-old daughter sought cover after hearing gunfire outside their home on Friday evening.

"It was all really scary," Smith added. "We were on the ground when we heard the gunfire. It terrified my baby more than anything. "She's only a toddler." A couple has a Saturday night wedding scheduled not far from the scene of the incident. The pair claimed that they nearly had to postpone their plans.

The Homicide Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to get in touch with them.
