They call him the "Prince of Venice Beach" and 11-year-old Gabriel "Bon Venice" has lived up to the moniker by drawing crowds to hear his Michael Jackson impressions at the edge of Windward Boulevard and the Boardwalk since he was eight.

"I love singing and dancing," he told Los Angeles. "And I love people in Venice."

For three years, this tireless street performer has mesmerized the throngs of tourists who populate Venice Beach, drawing them with his impersonations of Michael Jackson, Prince, and other artists. One fan even set up a GoFundMe page to help the preteen, who is always accompanied by his father, get discovered by L.A musical power players.

Busking on Venice Beach has always been a draw for tourists to what is arguably the most popular attraction in L.A. proper.

And music has always been central to the Venice vibe. It's the place where the Doors were founded when Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek after the duo met on the sand in Venice Beach. Hardcore band Suicidal Tendencies was founded in Venice in 1980 by lead singer Mike Muir, younger brother of original Z-Boy and Dogtown Skateboard founder Jim Muir, bringing what the band's official site calls the essence of "skating, surfing and the Dogtown area, with a new STyle of hardcore that brought a new crowd to punk and metal shows."

For street artist there is legendary boardwalk favorite Harry Perry played with the Grateful Dead and "King of the Buskers" Peter Damien who is still revered by the local music scene as is classical pianist Nathan Pino who plays in front of the Sidewalk Cafe.

"This place is a whole vibe," Serena Gomes, 38, said as her children tossed coin's into Gabriel's bucket. "I love watching young performers."
