Brookfield police investigating single-car crash that killed 2 people Saturday
BROOKFIELD — Brookfield police are investigating a single-car crash that killed two people, the driver and passenger, early Saturday morning. Police were alerted to the crash just after 1 a.m. Saturday in the area of East Main Street where a truck had crashed into a tree off the road with two people inside. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders transported the passenger to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead a short time later.

Mashpee resident Lana Testa killed in I-495 car crash in Bridgewater
A Cape Cod woman was killed and a Cape Cod man was seriously injured in a single-car crash on I-495 in Bridgewater Saturday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Police. Mashpee resident Lana Testa, 74, was killed in the crash, which happened on the southbound side of the road around 3:15 p.m., state police said in a press release. The driver — a 79-year-old Mashpee man — was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
