The proposed amendment for redistricting Ohio will cause major problems.

Everyone who wants to be on that committee does so because they want to fix redistricting. They want to jam their ideas on the rest of us. With only 15 members on the committee, it cannot possibly represent every corner or every citizen of the state of Ohio.

With all the crazy people in this world, some of them will want to exert pressure on those on the committee to do it in a way to benefit the crazy's desires.

I agree that some do not like the current system, but that is why we elect people to represent all segments of our state. Things are bad enough as they are, but let’s not make them worse. This proposal will kill democracy.

The state of Ohio has a redistricting plan in place that has representation from every corner of the state. It is called the Legislature, duly elected by the voters. It may not be perfect, but it equally represents the voters of Ohio. It is as free from outside influences as is possible.
