Decatur doctor talks impact of Georgia’s “Heartbeat” bill on women’s health
A Decatur doctor recently spoke before a Senate subcommittee on Human Rights and Law about the health impacts of the “Heartbeat” bill on Georgia women. Dr. Suchitra Chandrasekaran, who works for Emory Healthcare and is a member of the Health Policy and Advocacy Committee for the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, was one of the doctors that Sen. Jon Ossoff said “people need to hear from” two years after the passage of House Bill 481.
