DENVER (KDVR) — A man who was wanted for multiple charges was arrested after law enforcement said he refused to cooperate and drove “recklessly” toward seven Larimer County Sheriff’s deputies.

The agency reported that the incident took place just before 1 p.m. Friday in the 2300 block of East 9th Street in Loveland.

Ultimately, the incident ended when deputies arrested Jason Beezley, 43, of Loveland, on several warrants and eight further counts of attempted second-degree murder. According to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Beezley was wanted on charges that included assault, child abuse, criminal mischief, domestic violence and possession of drugs.

The agency reported that Beezley “refused to cooperate with law enforcement and tried to leave his truck.” His passenger remained outside the vehicle, and as events unfolded, Beezley allegedly ran over the passenger’s leg and drove “recklessly toward seven LCSO deputies.”

Beezley’s passenger had minor injuries, but no deputies were injured thanks to a vehicle pinch maneuver that stopped the vehicle’s forward momentum.

Beezley was given a $250,000 cash or surety bond by Larimer County Court and is scheduled to appear again in court on July 9.
