Movie Studio Will Film New Project in Owensboro KY This Fall — Actors, Crew Needed
Because of the success of PJ Starks, Eric Huskisson, and Daniel Benedict, folks in Owensboro have become accustomed to seeing filmmakers doing their thing on our city streets. Starks and Huskisson have been making movies in the Owensboro/Daviess County area for about 15 years with their most recent effort enjoying a big release party this summer. Meanwhile, Benedict has been hard at it for at least a decade and is currently prepping for a He-Man sequel.

Georgetown nonprofit gets huge boost for a big project
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Christian nonprofit in Scott County looking to bring hope to the community received a huge gift Wednesday. The Gathering Place Mission is a homeless shelter and community kitchen, a mission that the organization Boots and Pearls wanted to help out with, which led them to raise $18,500 to go towards a new emergency shelter for The Gathering Place. They currently have an emergency night shelter, but it can only hold 25 people. This resource will provide 32 more beds. Executive director Heather Johnson was overjoyed to get the help.
