LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — UPDATE: A day after making the cancelation announcement, the Ski Broncs will get to perform Friday after all.

The Winnebago County Sheriff lifted the “No Wake” order Friday morning.

The Ski Broncs responded on Facebook, saying: “We can’t wait to see all of you TONIGHT at 7 pm in Shorewood Park for an amazing night of Show Skiing and Family Fun.”

ORIGINAL STORY: The Ski Broncs have been forced to cancel shows at the recently renovated Shorewood Park due to rising water levels in the Rock River.

Watercraft are currently under a “No Wake” status.

Loves Park had completed an $800,000 renovation to Shorewood Park for the Ski Broncs’ 2024 season.

The Ski Broncs are a non-profit organization that was incorporated in 1967. They put on two ski shows a week, each Wednesday and Friday and those shows are free to the public.

The Ski Broncs have only won the national championship once in their 50 years. That was in 1991.
