Showmars Location to Close in Charlotte
According to WSOC, Showmars has confirmed that it will not renew its lease at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center on E. Fourth Street. While a specific closing date has not been announced, the City of Charlotte reports that the lease has expired and a request for proposals to find a new tenant is currently underway. Details about which restaurants have applied for the space have not been disclosed.

The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles has announced that the East Charlotte License Plate Agency, located at 5622 E. Independence Blvd., Suite 124, will close its doors for the last time at 5 p.m. on July 30. The current operator, Colleen Grier, who has been managing the establishment since September 2008, will end her contract with the agency, which is situated within the Independence Shopping Center in Charlotte.
