Crews tear down barriers, fences following Olympic Trials
EUGENE, Ore. — After 10 intense days, crews were seen breaking down the barriers near Hayward Field following the end of the US Olympic Trials. Crews spent Monday morning breaking down barriers and fences at Agate Street, which was set to be open again on Tuesday.
4-star OL Juan Gaston sets college commitment date
One of the Oregon Ducks’ top offensive targets is set to come off of the board in a month’s time. On Tuesday morning, 4-star offensive lineman Juan Gaston announced that he will officially be making his college commitment on August 2, deciding between four schools — Oregon, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Gaston is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 17 OT in the 2025 class, and the No. 158 overall player. He stands at 6-foot-7, 345 pounds. The blue-chip recruit was one of several official visitors in Eugene over the past month, and he left with great reviews of the Ducks, and particularly offensive line coach A’lique Terry. Oregon has been on a recruiting hot streak over the past week, landing a total of five blue-chip recruits and vaulting themselves up into the top 5 of the national recruiting rankings. Another movie is filming in Oregon this summer, and there’s a casting call for people who are deaf, hard or hearing and/or fluent in American Sign Language to work as extras.
