Preseason Camp Preview: WR/TE
Who's back: Oregon will boast some of the most electric players in the country at their positions in the passing game in 2024, led by the returning school single-season record holder for receptions, Tez Johnson. Troy Franklin briefly held that record before sitting out last season's Fiesta Bowl, giving Johnson room to finish the year with 86 catches, for 1,182 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Ducks also return their most productive tight end from 2023, Terrance Ferguson, who caught 42 passes for 414 yards and six touchdowns last fall.

ESPN names Oregon’s biggest weak point going into 2024 season
On paper, the Oregon Ducks defense set to take the field in 2024 is among the most talented we’ve seen in Eugene in quite some time. With a mix of transfer portal stars and homegrown talent, Dan Lanning has the unit ranked among the nation’s best so far this preseason. Readers Respond to the Latest Contortions in Oregon Homelessness Policy
The clearing of homeless camps from Portland’s streets is often and crudely described as a game of Whac-A-Mole. But another frivolous analogy comes to mind after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled cities could enforce strict camping bans: Homelessness policy on the West Coast has been written with an Etch A Sketch, which the courts shake every few years, sending cities and states back to the drawing board. The law-and-order candidates running for Portland City Hall this November certainly want a do-over. Here’s what our readers had to say:
