Family-owned restaurant debuts in Cumberland County
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A new, family-owned restaurant that is owned and operated by four brothers recently opened its doors in Cumberland County. The Trindel Family Restaurant, located at 5001 East Trindle Road in Mechanicsburg, is owned and operated by four brothers who previously worked for a number of years at the West Manchester Diner, which is owned by their cousin.
Application window opens soon for new Cumberland County affordable housing community
A little over a year ago, a Cumberland County nonprofit broke ground on an $18.1 million affordable housing project. Carlisle-based Safe Harbour broke ground on Harbour Village in 2024 on five acres of vacant land in South Middleton Township, bordering the borough of Carlisle near the Carlisle United Methodist Church on South Spring Garden Street. Harbour Village will include six residential buildings with 40 units and a community building on Harbour Village Drive.

Green Park City Attorney Paul Rost was celebrated earlier this month for receiving the Lou Czech Award from the Missouri Municipal League. Plans for new Cumberland County Taco Bell approved
UPPER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — Last week, plans for a new Taco Bell restaurant received conditional approval from the Upper Allen Township Board of Commissioners. Back on June 14, land development plans for the new Taco Bell were submitted to Upper Allen Township. According to their website, plans for the new restaurant were conditionally approved during the Board of Commissioners meeting last Wednesday, July 17.
