    One person injured, hospitalized after central Lubbock house fire

    One person was hospitalized after a house fire Saturday evening in central Lubbock.

    According to Lubbock Fire Rescue, crews were called around 5 p.m. to the 4200 Block of East 62nd Street for a possible residential fire. The caller reported seeing smoke coming from the home's windows and roof.

    Crews arrived to find a small single-story house on fire. According to LFR, the homeowner suffered burn injuries and was taken to University Medical Center.

    The severity of the injuries was not made known. The fire is currently under investigation by the Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office.
