Central Lubbock motorcycle crash lands woman in hospital, GoFundMe created

LUBBOCK, Texas– Cindy Orozco was seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash in early June, and those closest to her are hoping to raise enough money to take care of her medical expenses through a GoFundMe page.

Orozco was seriously injured in a crash that occurred just before 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, in the 1600 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway. She is a paralegal for the Whittenburg Law Firm, and her coworkers described her as a “mature and hard-working employee” in a statement to EverythingLubbock.com.

“We cannot wait to have [Cindy] and her positive energy around the office again. All her clients are also eagerly waiting to hear when she’ll be back,” the statement said. “[Cindy] is such a resilient person, and we are amazed by how well she handles her difficult recovery.”

A GoFundMe for her medical expenses said she broke both arms, her left leg, nose and has minor cracks in her forehead. Whittenburg Law said Orozco was “responsible” and took a motorcycle safety course and purchased her bike. Orozco was an avid rider who typically rode her bike to and from work.
