Element band performing at First Friday Art Trail

LUBBOCK, Texas — On Friday, Element will be performing at the First Friday Art from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Buddy Holly Center’s Meadows courtyard, said a press release.

Element has been keeping the “funk” alive in Lubbock since 2004 and the band has taken the Hub City by “storm with an impeccable groove.”

The band’s style is described similar to the iconic soul and funk group Kool & the Gang.

“Join us for music that is sure to get you out of your seat and dancing,” the release said.

Guests are welcome to bring outside food, but outside beverages are not permitted after 6:15 p.m.  Additionally, admission to enter will be free and seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

The release said no reservation will be accommodated for this event and chairs, picnic blankets and like items will not be permitted inside the gates.

Guests are encouraged to walk the Buddy Holly exhibitions and the first arts gallery during First Friday Art Trail hours with free admission.
