    30-year-old arrested in connection to Wednesday morning game room shooting

    LUBBOCK, Texas —  On Wednesday, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rex Davis, 30, for Aggravated Robbery in connection to a shooting that occurred at the Pac N Sac game room in the 6200 block of Highway 84.

    At 6:23 a.m. on Wednesday, LCSO responded to the Pac N Sac game room for a report of shots fired, said a press release. When officers arrived, a game room worker, Wenlong Yu, was found with a gunshot wound.

    According to the release, deputies with LCSO and members from the Texas Anti-Gang Center arrested Davis in the 2200 block of 30th Street Wednesday evening.

    After further investigation, LCSO said Davis entered the Donna Pac N Sac game room early Wednesday morning with a gun “fired one shot, hitting worker Wenlong Yu.” Davis ran from the scene prior to deputies arriving at the scene.

    U.S. Marshals responding to incident Thursday, Lubbock Police assisting

    Yu was taken to a local hospital and remained in serious conditions.

    According to LCSO, Davis was transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center and booked for Aggravated Robbery with a $350,000 bond.

    The investigation is still ongoing.
