    1 flown to the hospital after motorcycle crash in Harrison County

    LUMBERPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person was flown to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a motorcycle accident on Wallace Pike.

    According to an official with the Harrison County 911 Center, at around 4:27 p.m., crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with unknown injuries on Wallace Pike/WV 20 about seven miles outside of Lumberport.

    When crews arrived on the scene, they found that a motorcycle was the only vehicle involved and that one person needed to be flown to the hospital by Healthnet Aeromedical Services.

    Officials said that the road in the area was not closed.

    Crews from the Lumberport Fire Department, Shinnston Fire Department, Spelter Volunteer Fire Department, Wallace Volunteer Fire Department, Harrison County EMS and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the call.
