Deputies detained two individuals on drug-related charges after conducting a routine traffic stop on Tee Rd. and Gumpond Beall Rd Late on April 14.

In response to reports of suspected drug activity, deputies initiated a traffic stop involving a Red Honda vehicle for a traffic violation around 10:19 p.m. Identified as Seth Ladner (39), a resident of Edmond Jones Rd., Lumberton MS, and his passenger, Misty Crowley (36) from Ralston Rd., Hattiesburg MS, were present in the vehicle.

Upon contact, deputies established probable cause to search the vehicle. Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of marijuana, methamphetamine, Xanax, and Oxycodone. Evidence collected during the stop indicated the couple’s intent to distribute the seized substances.

Although Ladner possessed a medical marijuana card, authorities determined that both individuals intended to distribute the controlled substances. Consequently, Ladner and Crowley were arrested on charges including tampering with physical evidence and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, marijuana, Xanax, and Oxycodone.

Following their arrest, the couple was transported and detained at the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Facility.

Sheriff Allison commended his deputies for their diligence and thanked the community for cooperating in reporting suspicious activity. He highlighted the importance of community partnerships in addressing drug-related issues and stressed the crucial role of public support in maintaining county safety and security.
