Panther Softball Score 20 Runs on Eagles
The Panorama Panther softball team had their final regular season game in Afton against the East Union Eagles, resulting in the Panthers claiming a 20-8 victory over the Eagles. Panorama would score a run in the top of the first but East Union would respond quickly and take the lead, notching in three runs of their own in the bottom of the first. This would light a fire under the Panthers, who would score six runs to take a 7-3 lead and would not look back. Panorama would score every inning, and would notch in another six runs in the final inning of the contest resulting in a 20-8 landslide victory for the Panorama Panthers.
Severe storms bring hail, strong winds to Eastern Nebraska, Western Iowa
Severe storms moved over the metro just after 6 this evening. Communities in western Iowa saw the most impact; viewers from Crescent, Iowa shared photos of golf ball-sized hail. Several funnel clouds were spotted near that area as well. None of them ever developed into confirmed tornadoes.

KNOXVILLE, Ia. — Scott Bogucki won an electric feature Saturday at the Nolan Wren Memorial Presented by Higher View Enterprise, Inc. at the Knoxville Raceway. The driver from McLaren Vale in South Australia shot by Aaron Reutzel coming for the white flag to win $6,000 aboard the Liebig Motorsports #10. Sawyer Phillips nailed down the 360 main event. It was the fourth win in the class for the Pleasantville, Iowa native, but the first in seven years. Altoona’s Chase Young won for the second time this year in the Pro Sprints class, and the fourth time in his career.
