LUTZ, Fla. (TCN) -- A former detention deputy accused of watching child porn involving an animal is now facing additional related charges.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, detectives allege 33-year-old Trevor Willis accessed child pornography with his personal cellphone while on duty as a detention deputy at the county jail. The content reportedly depicted children between the ages of 5 and 15, including videos of a child engaging in sex acts with a dog.

Authorities said Willis admitted to obtaining and sending child pornography. Officials arrested him on July 1 and booked him into the Pinellas County Jail on 10 counts of possession of child pornography, 10 counts of transmission of child pornography, and two counts of sexual activity involving animals.

Willis resigned from his position on the day of his arrest. According to the sheriff's office, he was first hired at the Pinellas County Jail in 2016.

Following his arrest, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office investigators obtained a search warrant for Willis' home in Lutz. Detectives discovered additional pornographic material on a social media app linked to Willis.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Willis again on July 17 on nine additional counts of possession of child pornography. Hillsborough County Jail records show Willis is no longer in custody.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said, "These vile actions have no place in our community, and the betrayal of trust by someone who swore to protect and serve is deeply disturbing."
