Suffolk County Police Rescue Holbrook Man and Dog from Patchogue Waters Early Morning
Suffolk County Police Marine Bureau officers rescued a Holbrook man and his dog from the water in Patchogue early this morning. Ethan Brako was crabbing at Mascot Dock and Marina when his dog, Brina, a 2-year-old pit bull, jumped into the water at 3:26 a.m. Brako jumped in but was unable to exit the water. Marine Bureau Officers Kyle Profit and Tyler Mankowski-Hassett, aboard Marine X-Ray, responded to a 911 call reporting the pair in the water and rescued Brako and Brina.

NY weather: Prepare for dense fog in New York Tuesday morning
The National Weather Service issued a report at 6:06 a.m. on Tuesday for dense fog until 9 a.m. for Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester and Suffolk counties. "Patchy dense fog has formed in different parts of the region early this morning. Visibilities will be reduced to a quarter mile or less within the patchy dense fog. The fog is expected to dissipate by 9 a.m. Motorists should be prepared for rapid changes in visibility and allow for extra spacing between vehicles. Use low beam headlights," says the weather service.

Husband Pleads Guilty to Criminal Negligent Homicide, Wife to Reckless Endangerment After Two Sisters Die in a Fire at the Couple’s Rental Home
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced that Peter Miller, 56, pleaded guilty to two counts of Criminal Negligent Homicide, and Pamela Miller, 55, pleaded guilty to Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, as a result of a fatal fire that occurred at the Miller’s rental home, where sisters Lindsay Wiener, 19, and Jillian Wiener, 21, of Maryland, were vacationing with their family in 2022. Both sisters died in the fire.
