One night about five years ago, Killington resident Steve Kent told his partner Pam Rice that she had seen so many Hallmark Channel Christmas movies that she should try writing one herself. That playful remark became a challenge to themselves to do just that. Colchester’s Bayside summer concert series to kick off with first show tomorrow
COLCHESTER — Colchester’s annual Bayside Park concert series is returning to town for the summer season starting tomorrow, with the first show to be held Thursday July 18. All concerts are held on Thursday evenings at Lower Bayside Park and begin at 7 p.m. with free admission and parking. The series’ host, Colchester Parks and Recreation, encourages attendees to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic dinner to enjoy live music on the lake.

ESSEX JUNCTION — Two St. Albans residents passionate about recovery from substance use are bringing people together to discuss life-saving solutions. Melinda White and Brad Ferland are the organizers behind “Coming Together,” a substance use addiction summit, set for Friday, July 19 at the Champlain Valley Exposition. The event is free and open to the public, no registration required. Attendees can come by anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to listen to inspiring speakers, participate in workshops and connect with over 80 booths.
