WFXR recognized for continued community work with American Heart Association

LYNCHBURG, Va. ( WFXR )– WFXR News was recognized for our work with The American Heart Association at the 2024 Lynchburg Heart Walk Awards Celebration Luncheon at The Farm Basket on Wednesday, June 27.

The event, graciously hosted by Senior Development Director Elizabeth Vail , honored top team coaches, corporate sponsors, and top walkers.

This year’s Heart Walk held in April, which our team helped support, became one of the most successful fundraisers ever.

WFXR was excited to have our Good Day Virginia Anchor, Hazelmarie Anderson, as the emcee for the 2024 Lynchburg Heart Walk and was thrilled to be recognized as the media sponsor for the event.

We look forward to participating again next year and continuing our commitment to heart health and the American Heart Association’s mission.
