Pella Christian Softball Returns Eight Starters Next Summer
The Pella Christian softball team saw their season come to a close last week, but a majority of the Eagles roster will return next summer with their sights set on future success in the years to come. The Eagles graduate starting centerfielder Claire Braafhart, but will return fourteen girls that started at least one varsity contest this season. Of the returning fourteen girls, ten made starts in at least ten games this summer and another five started twenty games. Overall, the Eagles softball team will bring back three juniors, nine sophomores, eight freshmen, and three eighth graders. Among the returners, Pella Christian will retain their entire starting infield, both pitchers who started games this season, and both corner outfield positions. The Eagles finished the season with a 1-24 overall record and an 0-18 Little Hawkeye Conference mark.
