Woman in criminal abuse case arraigned in Circuit Court
MURRAY – A Murray woman pleaded not guilty in Calloway Circuit Court Monday to two counts of first-degree criminal abuse related to children that had been in her care. According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Samantha Arnett, 36, and Robert Arnett, 44, both of Murray, on Calloway County warrants the evening of May 23. The arrests came after an investigation revealed that the couple allegedly neglected and possibly abused two children in their care under the age of 12. Both subjects were lodged at the Calloway County Jail after they were charged with two counts of first-degree criminal abuse – child under 12 (Class B felony).
