Seattle's green spaces are about to get a little bit of a management makeover, or so it seems, given the latest stir from the Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR). They've officially called for proposals in their hunt for a management firm adept at handling not just the fairways and greens but also the dollar signs and customer smiles of their municipal golf courses. In the words of the RFP, this firm will take up the reins of "day-to-day operations" including the standard fare of driving ranges, pro-shops, and those post-game clubhouses, where the 19th hole can often be found. The details, live as of yesterday, can be scoped out at parkways.seattle.gov, with the deadline set for August 9.
