Police ticket driver who caused a crash while making a U-turn
A man was ticketed July 15 in Riverside after police responded to a car crash involving four vehicles. Just before 6 p.m. that day, an officer was dispatched to assist other police at the intersection of South Harlem Avenue and Lawton Road after a four-car crash. At the scene, the officer spoke with one of the drivers of a car involved in the crash.

Man arrested after driving drunk, crashing into McAdam Landscaping
On July 18, police were dispatched to McAdam Landscaping after a car ran into the company’s fence while the business was closed. The man who crashed into the fence along Des Plaines Avenue left the car on, a handgun on the driver’s seat and immediately fled from his vehicle, according to the police report. After patrolling the area, police found a man lying in a nearby flower bed and took him into custody for the crash. His breath smelled of alcohol and he had slurred speech, according to police. The man was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having an expired license, leaving the scene with property damage, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Indiana Interstate Shooting Arrest: Chicago Man Charged with Attempted Murder
Lake County, IN – A Chicago man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident on Interstate 80/94 in Hammond. Darrell A. Graham, 35, was apprehended in the 7000 block of Birch Ave. in Hammond without incident. Graham is being held at the Lake County Jail, facing multiple charges, including two counts of attempted murder.
