Realtors' association expresses opposition to possible deed transfer tax referendum
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown City Council deferred action on a bill that would authorize the Lehigh County Board of Elections to place a referendum on the Nov. 5 ballot asking voters to amend the home rule charter to delete the deed transfer tax from the section which regulates the tax rate.

$5.9M in Tax Credits to Boost Affordable Housing in Philadelphia
HARRISBURG, PA — Senator Vincent Hughes has announced substantial funding for affordable housing in Philadelphia’s 7th district. Over $5.9 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) will support four new rental housing projects, bringing 163 affordable units to the area. Of these, 39 units will be accessible for individuals with disabilities. The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency will manage these tax credits.
