PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A South Peoria man faces up to 30 years in prison after being indicted Tuesday for asking another person to kill someone for him. Aubrae Harper, 43, faces a single count of solicitation of murder for allegedly writing to a person earlier this year, asking him to kill another man whom he allegedly shot and who could testify in a trial.

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A Peoria man faces up to 30 years in prison after being charged in connection with an incident over the weekend involving drugs and a loaded firearm. Albert Bovan, 22, was charged Monday in Peoria County Circuit Court with armed violence. It alleged he was in possession of a handgun and drugs when he was arrested late Saturday night.

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A 35-year-old Peoria woman told police a masked man put what she thought was a gun to her head early Saturday morning before he took her SUV. It was around 2 a.m. Saturday and the woman had just arrived at her home, located in the 2100 block of Windermere Avenue which is near Newman Golf course, according to a report filed at the Peoria Police Department.

Comfortable for now, but turning hot and humid
PEORIA (25News Now) - Our weather will continue to stay on repeat for the next couple of days. That means that skies will remain mainly clear to partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the low 50s. By Friday, warmer and slightly more muggy air will return to Central Illinois. Expect highs to reach the mid 80s on Friday. This weekend will be hotter and more humid with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Expect more of the same early next week, but eventually a cold front will pass through by the middle of the week which will bring cooler and more comfortable conditions back by the end of next week. A few showers and storms will also be possible with this cold front. As it stands now, it looks like next Wednesday will be our best rain chance.
