Goss still concerned about manufacturing
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Creighton University economist Ernie Goss is still concerned about the manufacturing sector across the Midwest. "It's more moving sideways in terms of manufacturing, so I'm not real optimistic," Goss said as his latest survey was released this week. Pittsburg celebrates 4th of July and 71 years of Kiddieland
PITTSBURG, Kans. — There were plenty of smiles in Pittsburg Thursday to celebrate the 4th of July. The City of Pittsburg hosted a full day of celebrations in Lincoln Park and at Kiddieland. In fact, this year marks the 71st year of Kiddieland’s existence in Pittsburg. The day began with a Firecracker 5K bright and early this morning, a car show through the lunch hour, and radio-controlled airplane demos. There were also pickleball, cornhole, and disc golf tournaments, as well as lots of people enjoying those Kiddieland rides, all in the name of “fun.”
