Foundation poured for Dollar Tree in east Emporia
It isn’t paving paradise to put up a parking lot, but construction in northeast Emporia is replacing the Family Fun Center with a Dollar Tree. With the foundation recently poured, Emporia city officials confirmed basic plans for a roughly 9,800 square-foot building at 920 East 12th, between Old Rum’s Liquor and Goodcents. Emporia’s latest mural to be featured during First Friday Art Walk
Emporia’s latest mural is almost finished, and it’s ready to be celebrated as part of the city’s First Friday Art Walk. The mural is on the north side of Jack’s Lawn and Pool at 829 Commercial, the featured presenter for Friday’s event.
