MADISON, Wis. -- Public Health Madison & Dane County announced Friday it is looking for information about a dog that bit a woman on July 25.

PHM said the incident occurred at around 4 p.m. at Yahara Heights Dog Park, when the victim and dog were both trying to catch a frisbee and the dog's tooth broke the victim's skin. The dog is described as a medium-sized mixed breed with short brown hair.

PHM said the victim stated that there were many people in the general area, so she did not know who owned the dog. If the dog is not found, the victim may be required to undergo a series of expensive vaccinations to prevent rabies.

Anyone with information about the incident may call the Police and Fire Dispatcher at (608) 255-2345 and ask for an Animal Services Officer.
