Woman allegedly hit victim with metal pipe during altercation in Monongalia County

MAIDSVILLE, W.Va. (WBOY) — A woman has been charged after she allegedly assaulted a victim with a metal pipe at a home in Monongalia County.

On June 10, deputies with the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence on Mason Dixon Highway in Maidsville for a domestic dispute, according to a criminal complaint.

While en route, deputies learned that Holly Hinerman, 48, of Maidsville, “had gotten into a physical altercation” and struck “the victim with a pipe,” deputies said.

When deputies arrived, they made contact with the victim who “stated she was assaulted by [Hinerman] while she was sleeping in the living room,” because she “denied having a cell phone that [Hinerman] was looking for,” according to the complaint.

During the altercation, Hinerman “struck the victim with a large metal pipe” on her shoulder and her hand, but the victim was able to “escort [Hinerman] out of the residence by the hair” and “remove the pipe” and “throw it away from the house and into the yard,” deputies said.

Deputies found the pipe and noted that it was 23 inches in length and 21 lbs. in weight; the victim also stated that Hinerman has “threatened to kill her and her three children” over the previous few months, according to the complaint.

Hinerman has been charged with malicious wounding. She is being held in North Central Regional Jail.
