    Reward offered after 2 dogs left tied to pole in Manchester

    MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Desmond’s Army is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of whoever is responsible for abandoning two dogs in the pouring rain over the weekend.

    The animal law advocacy group is offering a $5,000 reward.

    Manchester Animal Control officials said video footage showed a man walking the two pit-type dogs in the area of Spruce Street and Charter Oak Park around 8 p.m. on Friday.

    The dogs were found tied to a pole on a basketball court on Cottage Street the next morning.

    Animal Control asks anyone in the area with security cameras to check them for footage of the man between 8 p.m. on July 12 to 10 a.m. on July 13.
