KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — With tens of thousands of music fans descending on Manchester, Tennessee for the annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Coffee County will more than double in population by Thursday afternoon when most campers are inside the festival grounds.
Rain chances thankfully will be limited for this year’s festival, but the heat and humidity will certainly be in full effect.

We will start the morning with temperatures near 60° and just a few clouds around, but it will warm up quickly with temperatures climbing into the mid 80s by midday. The heat will continue to build into the upper 80s to near 90° range in peak heating times of the afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds.
The relative humidity values will start to climb as well. The Heat Index Value, or “Feels Like Temperature,” will only reach the lower 90s. Winds will be light through the afternoon at only around 5 mph out of the south.

More sunshine for Friday with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s by midday with afternoon highs in the lower 90s. The relative humidity values will be a little higher as well, which means Heat Index Values will be closer to the low to mid 90s range. Winds will be light out of the west at around 5 mph as well.
Friday night will remain mostly clear and a little muggier as temperatures will only dip into the upper 60s with a light to calm wind even with a “dry cold front”, a cold front that doesn’t produce rain, moves through.
Saturday
We may see a few more clouds on Saturday, but it will be a predominately sunny day. Both the heat and humidity will continue to build this day. Temperatures will already be near the 90° mark by midday and low to mid 90s by mid to late afternoon. It will feel quite sticky as well with Heat Index Values in the mid to upper 90s with a light north to northeast wind around 5mph.
The clear sky will linger into Saturday night, but again temperatures will be slow to fall. We will eventually see readings in the upper 60s to near 70° range by daybreak with a calm wind.
Sunday
The last day of the festival is projected to be the hottest day. Temperatures will rapidly rise to the lower 90s by midday and top out in the mid 90s by afternoon. Heat Index Values could flirt with triple digits as well under a mostly sunny sky. The winds will remain light at around 5 mph out of the south.
