MANDAN, ND ( KXNET ) — With temperatures reaching into the triple digits on Thursday, many people were out trying to find ways to beat the heat.

That’s where, KX News’ Taylor Aasen, went on Thursday to see what festivities they had going on inside the water park that day.

Christmas in July was taking place at Raging Rivers on July 25. Tyra Riepl, the facility supervisor at Raging Rivers, said that there were a lot of people out there on the hot day.

For their ‘Christmas’ festivities, people were encouraged to bring canned goods or perishable items, those items were then donated to a local food pantry. If they brought items to donate, people would get a discounted rate to get into the park that day.
