    Manhattan man killed in northeast Kansas crash

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A 46-year-old Manhattan man was killed in a crash on Tuesday afternoon in Washington County. It happened on U.S. Highway 36, about 5 miles east of Cuba.

    The Kansas Highway Patrol says Brian L. Dowling, of Manhattan, was driving a Chevy Silverado eastbound on the highway, attempting to pass. He failed to move back over and struck a westbound semi.

    Dowling was killed in the crash. The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.
