    Worker slashed in Manhattan smoke shop: NYPD

    MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A worker was slashed with a knife in a Manhattan smoke shop early Wednesday, police said.

    The suspect pulled a knife and threatened two workers behind the counter at the East Smoke & Convenience on First Avenue near Seventh Street in the East Village at around 5 a.m., according to the NYPD. The perpetrator then slashed the 34-year-old employee in the head, police said.

    The suspect ran out of the store after the attack, police said. There have been no arrests.
