Friends of the Hennepin Hike on August 18, 2024, at Lock 21
The August Friends of the Hennepin “Kingfisher” Hike is on August 18, 2024, at 1:30 PM, from Lock 17 to Lock 21, which is about 3.2 miles. Participants should meet at Lock 21 (Lift Bridge) at 1:30 PM and will be shuttled to Lock 17 to begin the hike. Lock 21 is located approximately three miles west of Wyanet at Highways 6 and 34. Membership in the Friends of the Hennepin Canal is not required to join the monthly hikes, and there is no fee for the hike. They suggest you dress appropriately for the weather.
