Tween cooking event, Lunch & Learn to be held at Shelby library

Registration is underway for the Tween Top Chef Competition May 4 at Marvin Memorial Library in Shelby.

Children in grades four through six can register to compete in this cooking competition. The event will start at 10:30 a.m. with a welcome and creation time. Judging will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by awards and prizes at noon.

Call 419-347-5576 to register. The deadline to sign up is May 2.

Lunch & Learn

Marvin Memorial Library will host a Lunch & Learn on the evolution of funerals May 2 at 11 a.m.

Jake Penwell from Penwell Funeral Home will talk about the changing dynamics of funerals, from preplanning to service arrangements. A free light lunch will be provided courtesy of Penwell Funeral Home.
