ONTARIO — Soccer players and their supporters will have an enhanced experience this fall as Ontario Local Schools wraps up its first phase of athletic facility upgrades.

The soccer complex features a building that previously lacked water and sewer connections, limiting restroom and concession options. Now, thanks to donations including $160,000 from the Ontario Athletic Boosters Club and $10,000 from Sutton Bank, the facility has working restrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen.

“These improvements are a testament to the incredible support from our community and local businesses. The new restrooms, kitchen and bleachers will enhance our soccer complex, providing a better experience for our students and spectators,” Superintendent Keith Strickler said. “We are thrilled to have these new facilities for our soccer teams and community to enjoy this fall and for many years ahead. Warrior pride is at the heart of everything we do, and these upgrades embody our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.”

The district plans to break ground on a new softball field this coming spring.
