MANSFIELD — The gym inside the warehouse of Tim’s Mid-Ohio Home Improvements on Marion Avenue is a no-frills affair. The sparring ring sits in one corner, its bright blue floor and blue and red corner pads standing in stark contrast to the structure’s dull gray cement block walls. OHSAA presents $1,000 scholarship to 2 Ashland-area athletes
COLUMBUS – Two Ashland-area teens were among 200 athletes in the state selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The OHSAA and its six District Athletic Boards awarded $200,000 to 200 recent high school graduates as part of the OHSAA’s Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Program.
Junior golfers show their talent in Ashland Times-Gazette tourney at Brookside Golf Course
The 44th annual Ashland Times-Gazette Jr. Golf Championship tournament was played at Brookside Golf Course on July 17 and July 18. The winner in the girls Division 5 competition, ages 15-18, was decided in a sudden death playoff for the second year in a row, and for the second year in a row it was the same two girls. Only this year the winner was different.
