Mansfield Airport Day on Aug. 3 will include car show, kids zone, paid air flights

Airplane and car enthusiasts rejoice, Mansfield Airport Day is this weekend.

The event will include a car show, kids zone, paid flights around the area, plus an even bigger and better Drone Show, live entertainment and food vendors.

The event is from 2:30 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Mansfield Lahm Airport on Harrington Memorial Road.

The Lighted Drone Show presented by Sky Elements (as seen on America's Got Talent) will start at 9:30 p.m. Get ready for even more drones and a longer sky show. Tune in to Mix 106.1 for a live musical simulcast, according to Destination Mansfield's website.

Other events include:

• Car and bike show. Onsite registrations starts at 2 p.m.
• Aircraft static display. Come see local aircraft and talk to the owners starting at 3 p.m.
• Paid flights in both airplanes & helicopters! Helicopter rides are $50, all helicopter and paid flights are first come first serve.
• Come see the 1920's Ford Tri- Motor commercial airliner (City of Wichita) rides starting at $99.
• Kids Inflatable zone with all day wristbands, cost $5.
• Food Truck Rally - Over 10 local food vendors selling a variety of food and drinks.
• Vendors Market - Vendors from across the state with artesian favorites.
• Touch a truck - Take a look at the airport runway and safety truck/equipment up close.
• Live entertainment- sit back and enjoy music from area musicians and bands all day.
• Free admission and parking.
