MANSFIELD (1080 KRLD)- A Mansfield woman who thought she could outsmart her employer is going to prison for more than 4 years. The woman was able to steal almost $3.8 million before she was caught.

51-year-old Tanisha Adderly worked for one company but created two others. The legit company, which was never named, recovered fees paid by their clients. It was Adderly's job to put the money in the bank.

But instead of depositing the money in the company bank, Adderly created two fake companies of her own and that's where the money went. Court records show she was the owner and operator of Wolfe Claims Services and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where money was deposited from 2019 to 2023 when she was caught.

A Dallas federal judge sentenced Adderly to 4 years and three months in federal prison and ordered her to pay back to $3.8 million she stole.
