Garret Frey refuses to be sidelined. Frey has been paralyzed from the neck down for more than 37 of his 42 years. He has spent decades rejecting the government’s excuses when he and others with disabilities are denied the support they need to live in their own homes and to participate in society.
Another Section of Main Street to be Closed in Knoxville Next Week
Another section of Main Street will be closed in Knoxville next week. This closure will be on Main Street from Attica Rd. to 7th St. for a private sewer repair. The closure is expected to last until Friday, August 30th. Other road construction continues to be ongoing throughout the city as part of the Street Improvement Project. Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery encourages the community to remain patient with all of the construction going on, and to still support local businesses that are being affected.

Man Found Shot to Death in Davenport Parking Lot Early Saturday
Davenport, IA – A man was found shot to death in a parking lot early Saturday morning in Davenport. Police responded to the 100 block of West River Drive around 12:24 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered the adult male victim, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
