BLAINE, Minn. (FOX 9) - Two teachers at Blaine daycare center have been charged after being caught on surveillance video being rough with multiple infants in their care. Chloe Kaye Johnson, 24, and Elizabeth Augusta Wiemerslage, 22, have both been charged with felony malicious punishment of a child under four, third-degree assault against a victim under four and two counts of gross misdemeanor malicious punishment of a child.

BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - A Minnesota man pleaded guilty Friday in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron in December. Court documents show that on July 19, 33-year-old Ryan Charpentier of Little Canada, Minn., pleaded guilty to armed robbery as party to a crime with an increased penalty for an elder person victim. Charpentier was charged as one of two suspects in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron, Wis., on Dec. 19, 2023.

The pursuit of the 41-year-old man began in Steele County resulting in a high-speed chase on Interstate 35 North. The vehicle came to a stop just outside Faribault around 3 p.m., and investigators stated that the suspect entered the southbound lanes while brandishing a handgun. The interstate was closed, and authorities issued a shelter-in-place order for the area. The suspect was ultimately arrested using non-lethal tactics around 7 p.m.
