UW and WSU basketball programs agree on 2-year deal for Apple Cup
SEATTLE - Washington and Washington State have agreed on a two-year deal to continue the long-standing tradition of the Apple Cup in men’s basketball. This rivalry, which began in 1910, will mark its 300th matchup on Dec. 18 at Alaska Airlines Arena. The teams will meet again in 2025-2026 at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Washington.

This year, as in recent years, the Seattle Mariners have had a consistent, stalwart pitching staff attempting to hold off opponents just enough for a tepid offense to earn them the lead. Much of that is simply performance - Seattle has an above-average pitching staff anchored by a top-5 rotation that almost never provides uncompetitive outings. Linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale committed to Washington, pledging to stay in-state for his college career. The four-star linebacker is from Spanaway, Washington, and chose the Huskies over Florida State and UCLA on Monday. Rainey-Sale’s commitment makes him the top player in Washington’s class of 2025 with a 0.9459 rating in the 247Sports Composite.
