Dubuque Man Attempted To Use Gun During Arrest
Authorities reported that a Dubuque man attempted to use a weapon during his arrest. Kentrell V. Powell, 28, was taken into custody at 10:58 p.m. on Thursday, facing multiple charges such as interference with law enforcement involving a firearm, assault on certain professionals with a weapon, fifth-degree theft, possession of a firearm by a felon, and public intoxication.
Miller-Meeks makes UI visit as physics department receives $1.5M grant from NASA
The University of Iowa's Physics and Astronomy Department has received a nearly $1.5 million grant from NASA to continue to advance scientific research and study of space equipment. Cedar Rapids police investigate possible shooting near coffee shop
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Cedar Rapids police say they responded to a call for a possible shooting at the 6600 block of Kirkwood Blvd SW around 3:00pm.
